Beach Water Polo Camp At Long Beach State Come Back Soon for 2024 Camp Dat
About the camp
The 3rd Annual Summer Girls Beach Water Polo Camp will take place at the Ken Lindgren Aquatic Center at Long Beach State and will be led by Long Beach State Head Women's Water Polo Coach, Shana Welch, LBSU coaching staff, and special coaching guests. The Camp is open to all girls entering 8th-12th grade. (As of Fall 2023)
We feel it is important for all players to know how to successfully play each position and to develop into an all around player. The topics we will cover include but are not limited to Offense, Defense, Driving, 2 Meter Offense and Defense, Counter Attack structure, 6 on 5 offense and defense, shooting, shot blocking and goalie work (for goalies or those interested in goalie work). All campers will rotate through stations throughout the day to cover all areas of the game of water polo.
Beach Water Polo Camp will provide each athlete with drills and skills they can take back home and work on all year long.
Campers will also get the opportunity to ask questions as well as hear from each coach about their experiences playing at the college (University of Michigan, Cal, USC, and Long Beach State), professional (Australia, Greece, Netherlands, and Spain), and National Team (Youth, Junior, and Senior) levels.
*Highly suggested campers have some prior experience in water polo
